I have this dear friend in my ward that asked me to take some photos of her little girl. I was really excited because I just got a flash for my camera and I really like it because it makes taking indoor photos (especially at night) a lot easier. So here they are on my other blog:

Nativity

So this year we decided to make a Nativity instead of a gingerbread house. Nothing creative on my part, of course I found the idea on Pinterest. But Gavin really had a blast making those sheep.

Izzy's going to be 6 months old at the end of the week. We're off on our appointments so we won't have stats until December but here are some pictures to show how much she's grown. We love our precious little girl so much.

Family Photos

We've been so crazy busy lately. My parents were here for the last week and we just had a blast. They came out for my cousin's wedding so we had a fun time seeing a lot of family. Then we went to Corn Belly's at Thanksgiving point (I forgot my camera, so no pics yet, but maybe later), had lots of good fun, food and laughs (I almost beat my mom at scrabble, which is huge). We also took family pictures up at a park in Cedar Hills (which I've posted).

Isabella's Blessing

We blessed Isabella this last weekend. My Mom made her dress and it turned out so pretty. We had a great turn out with lots of friends and family there. Thank you to all those who could come, we love you all! Thanks to you who couldn't come but have shared your love with us in other ways. We are so blessed to have such great people in our lives.

This weekend we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We were meeting up with some family and these are some of the things we did.

Later we went over to the Blue Lemon for lunch. It was so good!! We really need to go up to Salt Lake more often. We had a great time with the fam and seeing temple square.

Seven Weeks Stats

We had Isabella weighed this week and here are her numbers:

12 pounds - 95%
22 inches - 50%

She's our little chubbalubba. She always eats like a champ and sleeps like she's growing all the time. I really don't think it could get any better.

3 Weeks Old

Well I hope izzy's birth story didn't disappoint. We surely appreciated it being short. :) izzy did amazing at the dr today and here are her numbers:

Weight: 8 lbs 11 oz. 64%
height: 20 inches. 40%
head: 14 inches. 42%

The dr was so impressed with her weight gain. It wad nice to be praised for that instead of chastised. She really is such a good baby so far. Now if we can just get her to sleep through the night at 4 weeks like her cousin, then she'll just be perfect! Lol.

Izzy's Birth Story

Many people have been asking for Izzy's birth story. Well here it is, I hope it lives up to everyone's expectations. :)


40 weeks and still no baby, so we arrived at the hospital on May 26th at 9:30 am to be induced. By 9:50 am I was hooked up to my iv and was checked. I was already at a 5 so they had Dr Haskett come at 10:30 am to break my water. Soon after I was given my epidural, what I would have done without that I don't want to know. Go all you who do without! I would have died. I was progressing so quickly that even the nurses were taking bets for how soon Izzy would come. By 11:40 am I was at an 8 and ten minutes later ready to push. At 12:10 pm Isabella Rose entered the world. She did have to be checked by a special pediatric team because there was meconium when the dr. broke my water, but she didn't inhale any of it. By 2 pm the next day we got to the all clear to go home and I was so happy. Those hospital beds are awful!

A few minutes after being checked by the ped team, I got to hold her.

Already to go home!

So lucky to have so many grandparents! Brad and Joey came this to see Izzy and Gavin this week and I think would have tried to sneak them home, if we hadn't been there to stop them.

Our New Addition - Isabella Rose

Isabella Rose - born May 26th, 2011 at 12:11 pm weighing 8 lbs and 18 inches long.



She has been the best sleeper. I even got 5 hours to sleep this morning. I almost feel human again. :)

Gavin loves her alot and always goes into our room to check on "Sister".

We are so blessed to have this new addition to our family.

Contemplations of a 2 year old

Happy Easter Everyone! We went to the temple grounds to take some pictures today and the spirit felt there was amazing. I love that we live so close to the temple, we need to go more often because of it. Gavin was able to tell us what it was and loved looking at the flowers. It was great to be there as a family.

Craig Family Easter Party

On Saturday we went up to Layton for a family Easter party. Most of Gavin's cousins were there and it was so fun for them all to see each other and play together. Gavin was able to find quite a few eggs on his own, but the other boys willing gave him some their eggs. Gavin was so happy that they shared with him.

Then we went and played at the park next door to the party.  Got cute pictures of cousins playing "Grampa, May I?"
