Thanksgiving, Christmas and all that Jazz....

Well we've had a very eventful last couple of weeks. Here it is almost New Year's and I'm just getting around to showing the pics. Ah well..... When you are in the hospital for Chicken Pox things get a little out of hand. That's right folks you can have chicken pox as an adult. All these years I thought it was just a lie, who gets chicken pox when they are 25? Well I do evidently. I came home from work on the 19th of December with a fever, not too bad, about 100 degrees. Thought I had been working a little hard and just needed to sleep it off. Took a shower the next morning and what do I see? Little blisters all over me......on the next day of christmas the doctors came to say.........you have the chicken pox!!! Well it didn't quite happen that way, I had to be admitted to hospital first because we could have swarn that I already had chicken pox and if I did, what was it that I had now. The doctors were checking for all sorts of lovely diseases: scarlet fever, measles, ruebella, herpies. But once the medicine kicked in we were good to go. I got to come home on the 23rd of December, not too worse for the wear and my chicken pox rash is almost gone. Hallelujah for modern medicine. For those wondering, the baby if fine and nothing from all this craziness should affect him. Thanks Goodness!!! Till next year.
