My Mom-Day 3

When I was a little girl I would go my grandma's house and often times end up playing with my uncle. Granted he's only 5 years older than me, so we got along ok. I remember he had a tent of his army guys and I wanted one so badly for my barbies. Fortunately, I had a mom who could sew.  I think it was christmas and much to my surprise, I received a barbie tent. Was it home made? Yes! Was I a little disappointed that it didn't come from the store, what kid wouldn't have been. But my whole life was like that, we never had much money, but mom made sure that I was happy. She also made sure that I learned to sew. She never did anything without giving others the opportunity to learn what she knew. Most of my memories are like this one. Mom was so giving of her talents and I'm sure she's still giving.

You are always so willing to share your talents with anyone/everyone. I read this and it sounded so much like you were describing yourself, not your mom. I guess I know where you got this amazing attribute and your incredible talents ;)

I love this. I wish I had learned from her.
